A Journey to know Him: A Call to go Deeper

Psalms 23:2b He leads me besides the still waters.

This is a challenge to follow the path God has set for you. It doesn't matter if you're 9 or 90; if you're still alive, He wants to work through you.

We were meant have a relational union with God, we are co-works with Jesus. We were brought into the fold by Jesus. However, we have to develop a relationship with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit and that takes time, trust and a surrendered life.

Do you trust Him?

Do you trust Him in every area of your life?

Is your life surrendered and bent towards Him?

How about a surrender in every area of our lives?

God is not seeking perfection, but rather a readiness to release the things we cling to that prevent us from living a surrendered life, enabling us to explore deeper connections with God.

SCRIPTURES

2nd Chronicles 16:9a 

For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout 

the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of

It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But

Then you will call on me on me and come and pray 

to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and 

find me when you seek me with all of your heart.

mighty things, which you do not know.

Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone that ask receives; the one who seeks finds; and the one who knows the door will be open.

God does not show favoritism; He desires a profound relationship with us.

Similar to many professions such as athletes, dancers, musicians, and lawyers, among others, it requires hundreds to thousands of hours to learn and perfect their skills.

In the same way, it takes time to be refined and to hear God's voice.

To deepen our relationship with God, we should immerse ourselves in His word through various means, such as reading the Bible, listening to worship music or speakers, and spending time with fellow believers who share our faith.

What are some of your ways to draw close to God, Jesus or the Holy Spirit?

One method I frequently use and teach my clients is what I refer to as Declaration or declarative prayers. These prayers are always rooted in scripture.

Definitions: Declarative - computing, high- level programing language. Declarations - offical statemet issued by legal authority. Decrees - offical order issued by legal athorities.

Affirmations - action or process of being affirming. something or someone, emotional support or encouragement.

Rooted in the world stated as facts Vs. Rooted in the Word stated as truths. 

FACTS CHANGE - TRUTHS DO NOT!

Examples:  Worldly Affirmation - I am connected to the divine in the universe.    

Declaration - I am a Child of God and He calls me His Own.

Examples: Worldly Affirmation - I embody divine wisdom

Declarations - I have the Holy Spirit who is my teacher who has all wisdom, and I have access to it through Him.

Godly Declarations

• My words will glorify God, My thoughts will glorify God, My actions will glorify God and My whole life will glorify God.

• It is my privilege to lay down my rights and my Life for Him

• I am a New Creation in Christ

• ALL old things are passed away

• ALL things in me are of God

• I have put of the old man and the lifestyle

• My new man is created in righteousness and true holiness 

• I choose to Speak Faith Hope and Love

• My weapons are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down stronghold,  

• casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts

• itself against the knowledge of God.

• I choose out of the act of my will to Love the Lord My God

• I am the hands and feet here of Christ

• I’m his ambassador

• I am His daughter in whom He delights in

• He sings praises over me

• I’m an encouragement to others because I am the light As He is the light

• I will let my light shine and not hide it

• I have been adopted into His Kingdom

• I was foreknown by Him

• I’m predestined, I’m Called, I’m Justified, and I’m Glorified

• I’m His Masterpiece and Oh how he loves me so much

• I choose you God, I choose your plan for my life
